Mainly dry weather for the North Island on Wednesday, just the odd light shower possible about the extremities towards dawn on Thursday. The South Island has a few showers in the west, mainly dry out east.
Frontal activity pushes in from the west on Thursday bringing rain or showers to western regions, mainly dry once again in the east. While the North Island doesn’t appear to receive much rain as in the map below a small area of low pressure brings the outside chance of a few heavy falls to the likes of Northland, Auckland, Great Barrier Island, Coromandel and perhaps coastal Bay Of Plenty.
The 7 day outlook below continues its trend of rain / showers in the west and mainly dry weather out east. Southland and Otago will likely get periods of showers at times however.
