Saturday is a mainly dry day for New Zealand, it’s overnight that sees precipitation levels start to increase for South Westland.
Sunday sees heavy rain move onto the West Coast of the South Island, the odd shower for the western North Island gives way to rain overnight with a chance of heavy falls. Eastern parts of the country get lighter, more scattered rain spreading from the west.
