A southwesterly airflow lies over New Zealand today, mainly sunny in eastern regions with the odd shower in the west.
So the West Coast of the South Island is mainly cloudy, perhaps a light shower or two otherwise mainly dry. Western parts of the North Island are mainly dry with areas of cloud, perhaps a few isolated showers about Northland in the afternoon and early evening.
Eastern regions experience mainly sunny conditions with onshore east to northeast winds from afternoon.
