A mainly quiet day over New Zealand today with not much shower activity to speak of.

Some cloud builds about inland hills and ranges of the South Island, this could result in a late afternoon / evening isolated shower or two mainly about the lower half of the South Island. Any showers will be quite hit and miss so not really something to bank on today by any measure.

Shower activity comes to life a bit more across New Zealand on Wednesday.
