The rain situation across New Zealand today will almost, or possibly be, non existent.
A high pressure system covers most of New Zealand and with this comes quite settled conditions.
The only chance of a shower comes about the Waikato and western Bay Of Plenty late afternoon or evening. This is the result of heating bringing a slight hint of instability leading to the chance of a few isolated showers, so if these showers fall they will be quite hit and miss and not likely amount to much.
So enjoy the good weather today and keep safe if heading away to any holiday destinations.
