Conditions are looking drier on Wednesday although a few areas of precipitation are still to be flushed out. Showers ease and clear western Northland in the afternoon. Morning showers about Coromandel and Great Barrier Island clear around midday. Morning rain for the eastern North Island may be heavy then gradually easing and clearing at night. At the other end of the country expect showers for Fiordland.
The next 7 days we can see most regions experience some rain or showers, eastern Northland and parts of South Canterbury / North Otago look likely to be the driest spots. The West Coast of the South Island gets the bulk of the rain with most of this around Sunday through to Tuesday next week.
