> From the WeatherWatch archives

Mainly dry on Wednesday morning for most apart from rain for Fiordland. During the afternoon and especially into the evening a low pressure system from the west moves in bringing rain or showers to western regions. Spots of rain spread to the North Island’s east coast overnight meanwhile a south to southwest change works its way up the South Islands east coast bringing rain.

Rain or showers for most regions around New Zealand over the next 4 days. Quite unsettled for the country on Thursday, conditions clear up over the South Island on Friday then the North Island by Saturday although a shower or two may continue to affect the western North Island on Saturday.
