Rain is coming this week – we have latest total estimates (+4 Maps)

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Rain is coming over the next two days bringing some relief – but it won’t be the silver bullet that ends the big dry. The rain will, however, be a very welcome early Christmas present for those who very much need rain following on from a  dry and warm November – and a fairly dry 2019 overall.

On top of the rain developing today and peaking on Tuesday, there is another burst of rain on Friday, this time more South Island focused.

The rain coming tomorrow is one of more widespread rain events we’ve seen in months, even though totals aren’t great everywhere.
