An area of rain with some locally heavier falls is today sliding across central NZ (the upper South Island and lower North Island).
The very upper North Island and very lower South Island are the driest today.
Some wet weather for Hawke’s Bay again, this time only 2 to 15mm is expected (the further south the higher the totals).
The Capital looks like to have the heaviest falls where maybe 40mm might accumulate today.
Auckland’s water storage dams won’t be getting much from this event, other than a few showers.
Central Otago – which is drier than usual – has no rain forecast today and perhaps only a few showers in the 5 days ahead.
As always, refer to your local HOURLY forecasts for the full picture – and RuralWeather.co.nz if you need to drill down even deeper.
