An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale rattled the East Coast of the North Island this morning.
The quake, which struck at 10.29am, was centred 50km east of Gisborne at a depth of 33km, GNS Science reported.
It was felt in the Hawke’s Bay region.
