POLL: Will climate/environmental policies affect how you vote?

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Poll Closes Tonight! (Saturday) — It’s election year, as if anyone who watches the nightly news needed to be told again – and that means political jostling for the hearts and minds of kiwis of all interests.

Here at Weatherwatch, the climate and environment are our business – and we wanted to get a guage on where our readers rank these issues in terms of political importance.

Do you think it’s a hot button topic? Will the election swing on an environmental issue, or are climate related issues taking a back seat this year for you personally?

Let us know by voting in our special two week long poll, and maybe tell us what issues in particular appeal to you personally, and we’ll summarise the results next week.

If people care about the future of their children and grandchildren, then they should be voting YES for this one and following it up. The shortsighted and purely selfish of course wouldn’t give a damn about others as they only live for themselves, for today. Non-beleivers have their necks stretched out long and their heads in the sand and it is time they pulled their heads back in. Once Climate Change has hit you, it is too late to go back and recast your vote.

How about adding – Yes it is important, but no it won’t affect my vote.
