The poll this past week was squarely aimed at those of us who have had some form of summer holidays or annual leave – and whether the season has lived up to expectations.

We asked our readers to rate the summer so far, and the overwhelming response was positive – with more than 60% of those who voted saying they have enjoyed every minute of the hot, calm and dry summer until now.

Obviously, those who are farming in parts of the South Island in conditions rapidly approaching disaster level will have a different take on the summer so far, and we do our best here at WeatherWatch.co.nz to bring as much information as possible to all New Zealanders – no matter what their circumstances.
