Well the results of our latest poll are in – and it’s not great news for the Cancer Society of NZ!
Nearly half of the respondents to our latest poll, “Have you been sunburnt yet?” said yes – along with a further 36 percent who said they’d only avoided it through being sensible.
The Spring sunshine has been great news for boaties and some farmers, but with it comes the ever present danger of sunburn – and with that, a higher risk of melanoma.
Here at Weatherwatch, we encourage everyone to follow the slip, slop, slap and wrap guidelines set out by our friends at Sunsmart.org.nz.
Watch this space for our next poll, coming on Sunday Morning.

Yes, but the Antarctic ozone hole also peaks in Spring, so exposure to harmful rays is greater now than in February.
