The results of our most recent poll show many of you want to hear more about thunderstorms.

70% say they enjoy news stories and forecasts about thunder. With our new official partnership with IBM and The Weather Company we aim to bring you more detailed thunderstorm forecasting.

We want to increase our coverage of thunderstorms here in New Zealand, and also keep up our news stories about major thunderstorms in Australia and occasionally the US.

24%, around a quarter, said they only wanted updates which were timely/current. This makes sense – and we hope in future to add new features to our App with the help of IBM to ensure you get thunderstorm updates that are LIVE and relative to your precise location, even if you move around the country.
