POLL RESULTS: Spring winds sent packing

> From the WeatherWatch archives

This week has been nothing if not windy – and therefore the perfect time to guage the nation’s feelings on blustery conditions.

We’ve covered the situation in the last couple of weeks and some of the damage that these systems have caused, but we wanted to know how many of our readers were seriously affected, and who (if any) actually enjoys this kind of weather.

We received the answer loud and clear – more than 80% of respondents telling us they were sick and tired of the conditions around the country – with just 15% claiming they enjoyed them.

The remaining 4 percent may have been underground, but one reader pointed out that the poll itself didn’t provide a fourth possible option.

You missed the option that says ‘love them – the warm dry winds are lovely’.  I am sure the people living on the east coast of both islands would agree to that.

There are surely many who fit into this category, and to you, we apologise – but watch this space for our next poll, coming tomorrow morning.
