POLL RESULTS: Most kiwis are self confessed ‘weather tragics’

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Well, we asked for it, and we got it!

We wanted to know just how many of our readers were like us – weather geeks through and through – or if, as a nation, the forecast was just part of the background noise of everyday life.

WeatherWatchers responded loud and clear – with more than 60%, not quite two-thirds, telling us they were ‘obsessed’ with the weather comings and goings around the country.

It’s no surprise really – the weather is central to pretty much everything we do in life, and, in a country like NZ, also crucial to our many and varied primary industries; not to mention the economy!
This is probably reflected in the 35% of those who voted the ‘I check it because I have to’ option, with rainfall in particular a huge talking point so far in 2015.

For all of you who, like us, love following our weather, keep on checking up with WeatherWatch.co.nz and we’ll do our best to give you that fix!
