Well, the people have spoken – and as a country, we either want more sun or snow this winter!

According to our latest poll, where we asked the question ‘What do you want more of this winter?’ it seems as though our readers are split nearly down the middle between the two almost polar opposites.

Nearly 50 percent of respondents want to see more sun this winter – possibly still reeling after a spate of poor weather to kick the season off, and the recent passing of the winter equinox.

40 percent, however, want to see more snow – and as ski season opens this weekend at Ruapehu, it seems as though their wish may be granted – according to those in the know, the mountain is on track to start in perfect conditions after some recent heavy falls and a fine week on the cards ahead!
