With 2014 getting off to a less than sizzling start in some places, we’d received a lot of correspondence from people on the site that it hasn’t been swimming weather – so, we thought we’d ask our readers what this year has been like for them – have you been in the water in 2014?

Well, the people have spoken – and it seems as though they’ve been swimming – 63% of respondents replying in the affirmative.

Nearly 20 percent replied that they’d thought about it – meaning that at some point, around 80 percent of kiwis have enjoyed swimming weather, which is just how Summer should be.

Of the remaining 20 percent, who answered “No way”, let’s hope the conditions improve in your neck of the woods soon – because the water is fine, so get on in while it’s still good!
