This week, while most of the world’s attention was on Australia and Chile, hundreds of New Zealanders were falling victim to seasonal illnesses, as the seasons and temperatures change.
Flus, viruses and colds all increase at this time of year – and we wanted to know how many of our readers regularly catch them – and how many seem to be totally immune.
The results were intriguing – with just over 20% of voters saying they fell sick every year ‘without fail’, while an amazing 27%, or nearly a third(!) said they don’t get sick.
One commenter lamented the see-sawing temperatures and unseasonal warmth of 2015, saying:
“It’s either hot or cold these days…..the droughts make it hot right into autumn, and then they end just before winter”.
