POLL: Are you interested in the US tornadoes?

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We have our own rough weather here in New Zealand today but at the same time far more severe conditions are blasting across America.

WeatherWatch.co.nz often covers severe weather events in Australia, Fiji and America – but we wanted to gauge how interested our readers are to ensure we’re not focusing on the wrong weather news.

A close friend of mine and regular user of my computer 🙁 came to NZ from the States because of tornados wiping out her 2 homes in Florida. We’ve just spent a few harrowing days online trying to find one person in Joplin – with some relief we heard from that person this morning. I might add that is not as harrowing as looking for 25 people as a result of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and another 25 in the Asian tsunami. Whatever, I look forward to getting reports on the US weather.

Your updates are a reminder to us of how well off we really are here in Godzone. Our weather is whimpy in comparison! -:0

Yes indeed. I have a number of friends living in America, so I am always interested to know about such weather disasters in their part of the world.

Hi team,

I do find them useful as they can be different articles/videos to the ones I’ve seen via other means. I follow Reed Timmer from the Storm Chasers TV show on Facebook and subscribe to his youtube channel, so I get his daily tornado videos but they aren’t always the same ones that you link to. So keep it up!
