Lately there’s been a touch of high cloud across New Zealand helping to create some stunning sunrises and sunsets, like this one captured by the Royal NZ Air Force.
This photo was taken Friday, March 15th in warmer than normal conditions across the Auckland region thanks to a light nor’east flow. (Temperature around 18 degrees at sunrise).
The helicopter is a Seasprite and was taking off from Base Auckland this morning (Whenuapai). You can just see the top of Auckland City’s Sky Tower in the left hand hand horizon.
With the nights getting longer, early mornings have a higher chance of cloudy areas, mist and even fog.
Our thanks to the Royal New Zealand Air Force for sending us this great photo and for your hard work here at home and overseas.
