Pakistan flooding death toll reaches 800, more rain to come

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Still reeling from the deadliest air crash on Pakistani soil, Pakistan is now dealing with another weather related tragedy – major flooding.

Over 800 deaths have now been confirmed due to the severe floods and officials say more heavy rain is set to arrive soon.

Last week 152 people were killed when a plane crashed into a hillside while trying to land on a flight from Islamabad to the sea port city of Karachi.

It is believed monsoon conditions at the time may have been a significant factor in the crash.
