VIDEO: NZ’s long weekend + Tasmania’s big low

> From the WeatherWatch archives

New Zealand’s first long weekend in months is looking far less windy than previous weeks have been, but there may be some wet weather in the north and south – and a few showers in the east.

Despite that, it’s actually a mainly dry forecast for many places with a Sunday burst of eastern showers and a temperature drop. By Monday milder northerly winds quickly return lifting temperatures.

In Australia a low will deepen this weekend and bring heavy rain and wind around Tasmania – with cooler showers into Adelaide and Melbourne.

We have details on NZ and Australia weather through to Tuesday next week.
