Temperatures are fairly uniform throughout both islands this morning.
Centres in the North Island are in the mid to upper teens with only a couple of exceptions. Whangarei is currently on 20.6 and Waiouru is a little cool with just 12 degrees.
Over the mainland and temperatures are in the teens as well with the warmest spot being Nelson on 19.4 and Invercargill is the one exception not making the teens and recording a chilly 11.7.

still very warm here up near the Bay of Islands – the last few days have been 36 hottest and 31 coolest, todays max temp was 34. Where does the official BOI temp come from, is it the airport at Kerikeri?
My new thermometer is working hard! Blue skies with only a few tiny fluffy white clouds.

Not sure where the reading is taken but I heard a murmer that it was in Russell.
