The Government’s being warned inaction on climate change will cost them far more than trying to reduce emissions.
Just-released briefing documents for the new Government show .. rather than heading for the target of a five percent reduction on 1990 carbon levels .. by 2025 we’re expected to make a 50 percent increase.
The Ministry for the Environment is pleading for significant change within the next year.
Paul Young from Generation Zero says it doesn’t need to be difficult.
“There’s a lot of land that we can plant forest on and that would be happening if we had a decent price on carbon.
“We can do a lot more in the transport area to encourage public transport.”

Yes it would be great to plant Trees wherever possible, even I do that.
Again the talk of a price on Carbon, one of the most important elements to life on this Planet, follow the money I’ve always said, it has nothing to do with saving the Planet.
Public transport in this country is a joke, neither reliable or cost effective, thats why many would rather sit in their cars stuck in traffic at both ends of the working day.
Just sounds like another threat to me delivered by somebody else on behalf of the IMF, World Bank, and those Commies at the UN.
Cheers.
