As the worst of the weather slowly leaves our shores, we’ve recieved numerous comments, updates and reports up and down the country on our facebook page and this is how it’s shaping up.
Barb De Long posted “Wasn’t too bad here in Motueka, suns out now but Mt Arther and Richmond Ranges covered in Snow!!”.
In Tauranga, Nikki Retuhai commented “Sunshine wind. .showers every now and then. . cool day thou.”
Auckland has had a bit of everything and Leanne Mehi posted this afternoon with “A fair bit of sunshine in West Auckland – in between squally showers and sudden gusts of wind, that is”
Further south and Cantabrians have felt the cold stuff today… ” Black, blowing and rain in Christchurch. Temperature a balmy 12 degrees” wrote Ellen Hoy.
The wind has obviously been a talking point overnight and today and Michelle commented with”Blowing a gale in Stratford… wet and very very cold…. so not nice!”
Windy conditions are expected to ease for those who are currently affected but in some cases it may take some time yet.

Barb, I haven’t seen a DeLong in New Zealand since I came here to Nelson years ago.
Would be interested in connecting. I lie in Gisborne after living in Golden Bay.
Cheers,
Robert
