We’re in the thick of spring weather now which means very changeable weather! One day is warm and sunny the next wet, windy and cooler, then back to sunny and dry again.
A significant low is deepening off eastern New Zealand today and Wednesday and will create severe gales and a colder southerly. This low is developing into a storm but also drifting eastwards towards the Chatham Islands.
Meanwhile a new storm system will track along southern Australia in the days ahead and while it may weaken as it moves into New Zealand this Sunday and Monday it may still bring a period of severe weather to some regions. By the way – it will also bring sub-tropical winds back to NZ for a time too following the colder change that is developing today and lingering until late week.
