A topsy turvy weekend lies ahead with not too many sunshine and high temperature records to be broken.
It’s very springlike and perhaps not too unexpected for mid-October but nevertheless it would be good to experience a dry and settled spell of at least a few days.
Saturday sport may be affected in some areas this morning even though overhead conditions might suggest otherwise. Cricket begins for many and saturated outfields in some areas could be quite a concern.
Sunday is still looking the most settled of the weekend but some showers could still pop up in a number of areas.

You might be, if you live in the North Island with all those thunderstorms around and if you were a thunderstorm nut, like me.
