No video today – so here are 10 extra Maps for the week ahead

> From the WeatherWatch archives

We don’t have our regular video today but we do have extra maps to help paint the picture of the upcoming week of weather.

Basically the weather this week is a bit messy – with warm sub-tropical flows for a time, then a cooler change moves in (very much late spring weather).

Colder air heads up the country on Tuesday night and southern parts of the South Island wake up cold on Wednesday – but milder air then returns until Saturday.

It’s not a very stormy week – but it’s not perfectly settled either.

*Our video returns tomorrow, apology for no video today.

**Also, if you haven’t seen it already – here’s our latest ClimateWatch outlook with a general summary of how both December and Summer are shaping up around New Zealand.

Rainfall for the next 7 days ahead shows most of it on the West Coast, Taranaki and Bay of Plenty/East Cape/Coromandel Peninsula.
Some frost risk in Southland overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Risk is not high.
