No video this weekend, so here are 10 weather maps instead!

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The weather this weekend is trending warmer than average (by several degrees for some) and fairly dry too. Sub-tropical northerly quarter winds will spread across the entire country over the weekend and Monday before clearing away to westerlies by Tuesday.

Daytime highs nationwide will be above normal while overnight lows will start to lift for many places too.

We have some rain and snow in the forecast too, you can view Rain and Snow accumulation maps for the next 6 days by clicking here.

Low pressure north of New Zealand is very weak, the main driver for the milder sub-tropical flow until Monday is the huge high pressure system parked out to our east.

Winds are fairly light, especially on Saturday and especially inland. Foggy areas are possible, especially the North Island south of Waikato, over the next few days. Auckland Airport is not expected to get fog due to an easterly breeze.

**Apologies but due to sick leave we have no weather video to publish this Friday/Weekend. Our videos return on Monday.
