NEW POLL: Cyclones – Love them or hate them?

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Many people have written on our Twitter and Facebook pages, as well as commented on our website about being disappointed Cyclone Winston wasn’t coming directly towards New Zealand.

While most people would be relieved, many weather enthusiasts love a good storm.
At WeatherWatch.co.nz we’re definitely always relieved when a cyclone isn’t making a direct hit, but we also understand the beauty in the power of a tropical storm.

People who have lived through a cyclone rarely wish to ever be through one again.
In New Zealand we don’t really get the full scale storms as often as places further north, where conditions are warmer. Cyclones are both incredible and terrifying – and that is the fascination, like many other things in life.

So let us know in this week’s poll – do you love cyclones, fear them, or both?
