More settled skies

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A sticky night for Northland and Whangarei is starting Thursday morning on 20 degrees with mostly sunny skies forecast for the northern city with just a few cloudy areas.
New Plymouth is also warm on 19 degrees and glorious sunshine is expected in the west with top temperatures in the mid 20s.

The most dominant anticyclone in many weeks continues to bring settled weather to much of the country with just morning low cloud and some fog in a few coastal areas. Not too much wind to speak of with gentle sea breezes hugging many coastal regions and relatively calm conditions inland.

More of the same is expected over the next 2 or 3 days and Sunday sees a small disturbance affecting the South island mainly.
