School holidays see the perfect (for kids anyway) combination of high pressure and clear skies – a summery weather pattern in mid April!

High pressure dominates for much of the country, meaning dry, clear conditions prevail for almost all of New Zealand.

A few showers do stick around the coastal part of Southland, and of course, Fiordland – but the rest of the country is looking fairly clear for most of the middle of the week.
