The weather across New Zealand today will yet again be mainly sunny and settled, winds will be light with afternoon sea breezes for most regions.

A bit of cloud may start the day about the Coromandel, the Bay Of Plenty and perhaps Auckland however then breaking to mainly sunny conditions by afternoon.

A touch of high cloud affects Southland today, especially evening on wards.

No rain to speak of today with dry conditions prevailing.

But there were severe thunderstorms around the Bay Of Plenty?!

Information we had to hand suggested conditions were going to be alot more stable then they turned out to be for that part of the country.

Yes they were, i follow the weather too and they looked to be very stable.
