Mostly sunny weather with some afternoon cloud about inland hills and ranges, some cloud in the northeast though (Gisborne, East Cape, Coromandel, Northland) brings a few showers in a southeasterly airflow. Light winds tend onshore this afternoon in the west, northeasterlies down along the east coast.

South Island

Mostly sunny, a few clouds about. Light winds tend onshore this afternoon, east to northeasterly winds along the east coast becoming a bit fresh this afternoon. Fiordland has a few showers, perhaps turning to rain for a time this evening, cloud develops this evening for Southland and Otago but staying mainly dry as west to southwesterly winds freshen.
