Monday’s national forecast – Mainly settled (+8 maps)

> From the WeatherWatch archives

It’s another mainly settled day across New Zealand thanks to a ridge of high pressure, not cloud free though.

North Island

Mostly sunny in the west, there may be a few areas of morning cloud then breaking away, perhaps a few clouds this afternoon. Coromandel through to eastern Northland may pick up some cloud and the risk of a shower. The east coast has a mostly cloudy day with the risk of a light shower or drizzle patch, winds are from the south.

South Island

Quite a bit of cloud about this morning but hopefully breaking to a mostly sunny afternoon, cloud could linger about some coastal areas for much of the day though. Winds are light.
