An anticyclone with it’s centre just east of the country covers New Zealand bringing settled sunny weather.

Upper North Island

Sunny and cloudy areas with easterly breezes, winds tend a little more southeast about Gisborne. Chance of a morning shower in Northland.
HIGHS: 24-27, 23 in Gisborne

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds, northeasterly breezes along the east coast.
HIGHS: 23-26

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds after any morning cloud clears, afternoon sea breezes in coastal areas.
HIGHS: 23-26, 27-30 about some inland areas and Amuri

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds after any morning cloud clears, afternoon sea breezes in coastal areas.
HIGHS: 26-31 for Southland and Central Otago, 23 about coastal Otago
