A weak ridge lies over the North Island today meanwhile a front in the Tasman Sea slowly approaches the western South Island moving in by evening.
North Island
For most of the North Island conditions are mostly sunny tomorrow, winds are generally light. Some morning cloud about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne gradually burns away. Overnight a few showers move into Taranaki.
South Island
The South Island sees mostly sunny conditions also although expect some high cloud, lower level cloud starts to thicken up on the West Coast from afternoon with the odd shower moving in. Winds from the north or northeast for most however expect afternoon southerlies for Southland.
Temperatures
Afternoon temperatures in the mid to high twenties for all North Island regions, the same goes for most of the South Island and Buller. Just the West Coast may see afternoon temperatures a bit limited, perhaps getting into the early twenties.
