An anticyclone lies over most of New Zealand today bringing mainly settled weather.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Quite cloudy although some sun may break through at times, light west to southwest winds. The Bay of Plenty is mainly sunny.
Highs: 18-19

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Cloudy areas with the chance of a light shower or two, west to northwest winds.
Highs: 13-16

Eastern North Island
Sunny with afternoon east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 17-19

Wellington
Mostly sunny with north to northwest winds.
High: 16

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light northerlies.
Highs: 16-18

Canterbury
Sunny with north to northeast winds.
Highs: 15-17

West Coast
Mostly cloudy with light west to southwest winds, chance of a light shower or two otherwise mainly dry.
Highs: 13-15

Southland & Otago
Sunny areas and some cloud about Invercargill then rain develops in the evening, Otago has a mainly sunny day then spots of rain overnight. Northwesterly winds for most however winds may tend northeast about coastal Otago.
Highs: 17-18
