Upper North Island

Morning cloud breaks away then mostly sunny with southwesterly winds. High’s in the mid twenties, perhaps late twenties for parts of the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty.

Lower North Island

Becoming mostly sunny this morning, winds from the west although tending northerly about Wellington. After morning cloud breaks away becoming mostly sunny along the east coast, afternoon easterly winds. Afternoon temperatures reaching into the low to mid twenties.

Upper South Island

Mainly sunny in the east and north, some cloud builds about eastern areas (especially inland) during this afternoon then breaking away in the evening. Light winds tend onshore this afternoon. Mostly cloudy for along the West Coast, some rain or showers about South Westland spreads northwards during this afternoon / evening, winds from the north. High’s in the low to mid twenties although only in the high teens to early twenties for the West Coast.

Lower South Island

Morning cloud brings the risk of a light shower then breaking to sunny areas this afternoon, inland however isolated showers develop this afternoon bringing the risk of a heavy fall then clearing this evening. Winds are light tending onshore this afternoon. High’s in the low to mid twenties this afternoon, isolated inland spots may reach into the high twenties. Conversely near coastal parts of Otago temperatures may not escape the high teens.
