Morning cloud then expect sunny areas. Perhaps some morning drizzle too mainly about the Bay Of Plenty, then the risk of a shower in the afternoon or evening for Northland down through to the Waikato otherwise dry. Northeasterly winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny with light easterlies Wanganui
southwards. Taranaki sees north to northeasterly winds with cloudy areas and
occasional showers. Morning cloud breaks to sunny areas elsewhere then there is
the risk of an isolated shower late afternoon, northeasterly winds.

Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny weather with light winds this morning then afternoon east to
northeasterly winds. Perhaps some high cloud about mainly this morning.
Any drizzle clearing this morning, cloud breaks this afternoon to sunny
areas. Light southeasterlies.

Marlborough & Nelson
Fairly cloudy, patchy rain or drizzle easing this morning and clearing by
late afternoon or evening. Rain about Tasman may be heavy to start this morning
then easing. East to northeast winds.
Drizzle clearing by around midday, cloud breaks during the afternoon more
so to start with about South Canterbury then further north later in the
afternoon. Southerlies tend easterly during the day.
Any morning showers clear, cloud breaks during this afternoon with
southeasterly winds easing.
