Mainly anticyclonic conditions today giving settled weather. Watch for isolated showers this afternoon / evening about the upper North Island however. A front also approaches the far south of the South Island.

Auckland & Northland
Sunny spells with light winds at first, afternoon sea breezes. A few late afternoon isolated showers some of which may be heavy then clearing in the evening.
Highs: 23-24

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Sunny spells with light winds in the morning tending westerly from midday.
A few isolated showers develop this afternoon, some possibly becoming heavy
(especially the Bay Of Plenty area) then clearing this evening.
Highs: 22-24

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds this morning after any early cloud clears,
afternoon easterly breezes. A few isolated showers may develop about the ranges
of Gisborne this afternoon / evening.
Highs: 21-23

Western North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds this morning, afternoon westerlies.
Highs: 21-23

Wellington

Mostly sunny with northerly winds, breezy at times this afternoon.
High: 19

Nelson

Sunny with light winds this morning, afternoon northerlies.
Highs: 21-22

Marlborough

Sunny with light winds this morning, afternoon northwesterlies.
Highs: 24-25

Canterbury

Sunny with light northeasterlies after any early low cloud clears, evening
high cloud develops.
High: 22

West Coast

Mostly sunny for northern parts of the coast with west to southwest
breezes, cloud thickens in the evening. About Fiordland rain develops this
morning and a few showers spread north to about Haast this evening.
High: 18

Coastal Otago

Sunny spells and areas of cloud, light winds tend ENE.
High: 19

Central Otago

Areas of high cloud with west to northwest breezes, the odd spot of rain at
times.
High: 18-20

Southland
Areas of high
cloud with west to northwest breezes, the odd spot of rain at times. Winds
change southwest after midnight with widespread rain.
