An anticyclone brings mainly settled conditions to the country tonight, plenty of cloud for eastern regions however, slowly breaking away overnight for some.

Auckland & Northland

Cloud breaking away this evening about Auckland with southwesterlies easing, mainly clear skies overnight with light easterlies. Cloud a little more persistent about Northland.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-9

Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Clear skies with southwesterlies easing this evening, winds tend light east to southeast overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 5-8

Central North Island

Mainly clear skies with light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 2-3

Eastern North Island

Cloud increases this evening with southerly winds, chance of a shower or
two later / overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Taranaki

Mainly clear skies, southeasterlies from this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies with southeasterly winds easing this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 2

Wellington

Cloudy areas breaking away overnight, sooutherlies ease.

Tonight’s Low: 5

Nelson

Mainly clear skies this evening, a little overnight cloud. Light
winds.

Marlborough

Cloudy areas breaking towards dawn tomorrow, east to southeast winds ease
overnight.

Canterbury

Cloudy skies, cloud may start to break a little overnight. Drizzle patches
about the foothills clearing this evening. Southerly winds ease.

Mainly
clear skies tonight, light winds. Some cloud moves into Fiordland towards dawn
