An anticyclone overnight brings mainly settled and clear conditions although there could be some low cloud or fog by dawn tomorrow morning for some. A tropical depression brings some increasing cloud about Northland overnight.

Northland

Some cloud developing overnight mainly in the east, easterly breezes. There may be a spot of rain or light shower in the east by dawn tomorrow otherwise mainly dry tonight.

Auckland

Mainly clear skies with some cloud developing overnight, light easterly breezes.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-15

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies overnight with east to northeast breezes, light in inland areas easing away later this evening. Some cloud possible by dawn about the Bay Of Plenty.

Tonight’s Low: 10-16

Eastern North Island

Sunny with east to northeast breezes easing away this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 12-13

Western North Island

Clear skies with sea breezes easing away this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Wellington

Mainly clear skies with northerly breezes, light overnight.

Nelson

Clear skies with north to northeast breezes easing later this evening, light winds overnight.

Marlborough

Clear skies with east to northeast breezes easing later this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Canterbury

Sunny this evening with easterlies easing away later. Mainly clear overnight although some low cloud or fog patches possible by dawn.

Mainly clear skies with light winds.

Mainly clear skies overnight although there may be some low cloud or fog by dawn. Light east to northeast breezes.

Clear skies with light winds overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 6

Southland

Mainly clear skies overnight with light winds, west to southwest winds die away around midnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-8
