Fairly settled over the country tonight, temperatures becoming cool overnight about some inland South Island areas. The odd shower clears the eastern North Island this evening. One or two may continue overnight north of Auckland. In the South Island conditions are fairly dry although Fiordland may see a shower overnight.

Auckland & Northland
Clear spells and some cloud, low risk of a shower however mainly dry. Light west to southwest winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island
Clear areas and some cloud with west to southwest winds, any isolated showers about the Central North Island and Waikato clear this evening. Skies becoming mainly clear overnight with light winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-7

Eastern North Island
Fairly cloudy with southerly winds, the odd shower possibly heavy in about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne then clearing around midnight. Cloud breaking up a little overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 7-8

Western North Island
Mainly clear skies, west to southwest winds ease this evening, farily calm overnight south of Taranaki. Northern Taranaki keeps a light southwesterly overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-7

Wellington
Some cloud, clearing away later this evening as southerlies tend northerly.
Tonight’s Low: 8

Nelson

Clear areas and some cloud, northerly winds. Skies becoming mainly clear later this evening with northerlies easing. Light winds overnight.
Tonight’s Low: 4

Marlborough
Areas of cloud with the risk of an isolated showers, any showers clear this evening with cloud breaking up later. Easterlies ease this evening, light winds overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-4

Canterbury
Mainly clear skies with easterlies easing this evening, light winds overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 1-3

West Coast
Mainly clear skies overnight with light southwesterlies, some cloud and a few showers move into Fiordland however.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-5

Coastal Otago
Westerlies die away late this afternoon. Some cloud overnight with light winds.
Tonight’s Low: 7

Central Otago
Clear areas and some cloud, southwesterly breezes ease overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-4

Southland
Areas of cloud with west to northwest breezes.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-7
