New Zealand’s weather will mix it up a little to end the week – with a couple of interesting patterns over both islands on Friday.
The North Island will be under the influence of a large ridge of high pressure, while the South Island will see a westerly airflow.
Some North Island regions in the west may see fairly cloudy skies, although for regions north of Taranaki, that may just come in the form of a cloudy start – then growing sunnier in the afternoon.
Fiordland and Southern Westland are the only places that look like receiving showers – with patchy drizzle or showers expected during the day.
