Maritime New Zealand says a fisherman has boarded the yacht belonging to missing Tauranga sailor Paul van Rensberg, but the skipper has not been found on board reports NewstalkZB.co.nz

The Tafadzwa was located by an Air Force Orion on a training flight yesterday, 110 kilometres from the Chatham Islands, but poor light and high seas prevented anyone getting on board.

The yacht was reported missing two weeks ago on a voyage from Tauranga to Gisborne. The 11 metre steel vessel has a damaged sail.
