Temperatures are fairly average across New Zealand today under high air pressure and light winds.
Cloud cover and cool winds in Christchurch and Invercargill have the temperatures at 13 and 14 respectively this hour, but for most other regions temperatures are between 16 and 23.
While the temperatures are now especially high the lack of wind means most places are fairly comfortable.
The North Island has only scattered cloud so afternoon heating means most northern regions are in the low 20s this afternoon.
Tomorrow temperatures should remain similar, as with Saturday, however later on Saturday a cooler south west change will start to spread up New Zealand with sou’westers in many areas by Sunday or Monday.
By Tuesday another high rolls in with winds dying out again and temperatures again expected to be around average, if not slightly above average for the upper North Island.
There are still no signs of widespread frosts in the next 10 days.

Hi guys
I don’t know if it is me but for about 3 hours during the middle of the last few days the sun seems to
have almost a summer “bite” to it. Have’nt been near a temperature guage but it feels pretty warm.
Can’t complain though as still good for grass growth. Weekend rain will be welcome also to help
things along. Sorry campers.
Cheers Steve
