If you can get over the cool morning, today is set up to be a pearler!
Mostly sunny skies are likely up and down the country today but some cloud and a shower or 2 might pop up in a small part of the northeastern corner of the country and a few splashes are possible over parts of the interior of the mainland mostly due to heating.
Temperatures are also expected to climb a degree or 2 in many regions but still remaining pretty much near normal for the time of year.
Of the main cities, Tauranga could see the most cloud but generally the main cities are shaping up nicely. The windiest conditions are almost non existent, as not too many strong breezes are anticipated in any of the main centres or most of the country for that matter.
Tomorrow is likely to see more cloud moving in along the West coast of the South island and still the odd shower is possible in northeastern districts of the North Island but elsewhere sunshine should be plentiful and temperatures inching up a little more.
