Mainly sunny – Situation & outlook for Thursday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

On Thursday we finally have a sunny day across the country, as a ridge moves over both islands, extending out from a high in the Tasman Sea – with a southwesterly airflow dying in the morning, then tending northwesterly in the evening.

There will still be some cloud about – mainly for Taranaki northwards in the west.

There is the chance of an early clearing shower for some eastern North Island parts too.
